Prior to joining Third River Partners Terry had over 40 years of nursing practice with the most recent 25 years focused on progressive experience in health care leadership.
Terry works with leaders and teams in the following areas:
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION- Strategically planning and implementing procedures that rapidly provide workflow change and standardization to provide successful quality and performance outcomes.
COMMUNITY / TEAM BUILDING – Collaborating within and across organizations to develop a cohesive continuity of services among clients that benefits the communities served.
ACCREDIDATION PREPARATION – Effectively preparing the physical space, educating staff and providers in continual readiness for regulatory surveys; experience includes both local and state departments of health (PA, OH, and NY), The Joint Commission (TJC), the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), and DNV-GL Healthcare.
CHANGE LEADERSHIP – Anticipatory guidance with transition planning including business program changes, marketing enhancements, construction planning and implementation; experienced with internal restructuring including contract staff and interim leadership assignments.
Terry utilizes her healthcare experience as a front line/direct staff nurse, clinical educator, permanent and interim nurse manager and service line director to connect serving leader principles with daily hospital experiences. Having integrated these leadership concepts Terry has encountered enhanced staff and provider relationships that directly impact patient and quality outcomes.
In addition to her work with Third River Partners, Terry is active in her local church and supports the Friends of Haiti ministry contributing specifically to the LaCroix New Testament Mission.
Terry holds a Masters degree in Executive Leadership and Change and a Bachelor of Science degree both from Daemen College, in Amherst, NY.
She maintains nursing licenses in PA, NY and Ohio. She is certified in Inpatient Obstetrics from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and maintains active membership in AWHONN.
Terry has completed the TED* (The Empowerment Dynamic) practitioner program and utilizes that knowledge in conjunction with her work at 3rd River.
